...The Thing about Obama

...is it doesn't matter how much we debunk the Islamophobic myth that he's a Muslim--sekrit, through some konfusing made-up ancient religious law or any other kind. He's not, but it doesn't matter that much to bigots* who hate/are scared of Islam. The fact that he has any family connection to it, however tenuous, is too much. He's tainted.


And, in case you didn't know, he's also black.
